The first and most important part of the game is building a strong economy. Producing P and R tokens as quickly as possible helps you produce units and upgrades and your goal is to build them first.

Methods to build your economy-
-Using Chain Gangs to increase your R production in the early game and sacrificing them in the late game for an extra boost.
-Using the Colonizer ships to increase P tokens.
-Using the variety of location cards to increase production.
